AUGMENTEND PERFORMANCE LAB AR/AI WORKSHOP 2026
CLIENT: SESC 24 DE MAIO POSITION: EDUCATOR
TOOLS: ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD, SNAP LENS, RUNWAY, OBS, PROJECTION, PERFORMANCE
Augmented Performance Lab offers an experimental laboratory in video and performance, focusing on emerging image-making technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI).
The program is organized into two sessions, divided over two days. The first presents a conceptual and historical overview of video as both a technology and an artistic language, tracing developments from early research in artificial intelligence to contemporary creative practices. The second session takes the form of a practical and poetic lab, where participants develop performance prototypes using video in various formats, explore current production tools, and experiment with augmented reality.

Movement exercises and creative prompts guide reflections on the relationship between our bodies and technological systems in the present. The workshop approaches “technologies of augmentation” not only as digital tools, but as ancestor-futurist apparatuses capable of reshaping how bodies, images, and environments interact.
